The Turkic World Youth Foundation organized the Turkic World Youth Gathering in Ankara.
At the event held in the Conference Hall of the Presidential Complex National Library, the TDGV Otağ Music and Dance Ensemble performed. Kazakh artist Arslanbek Sultanbekov, known for the song “Dombra,” and Azerbaijani singer Azerin also attended the event as guest performers.
In his speech at the event, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Enes Eminoğlu recalled that the week of December 7–17 is celebrated as Mevlana Week and stated:
“Mevlana has many pieces of advice. He said, ‘We came not to divide, but to unite.’ That unifying spirit is here — from the same roots, from the same soul. Therefore, this gathering is very meaningful. As our President has particularly emphasized, ‘The Century of Türkiye will be the century of youth.’”
Noting that relations within the Turkic world have made significant progress over the past 20 years, Eminoğlu continued:
“As someone who personally accompanied our President during the visit to Shusha, I can say that it was truly very meaningful. The point we have reached today in relations with all Turkic regions, such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, is the result of the political will demonstrated by our President. Today, the Republic of Türkiye and the Organization of Turkic States, to use a sports analogy, have risen from the amateur league to the super league. Hopefully, in the coming years, Türkiye and the entire Turkic world will leave their mark on this century, even at the Champions League level.”
TDGV Founding Chairman Ramazan İzol stated that the foundation reached many young people in its first year and aims to foster unity and solidarity among youth within a “non-political” structure.
“We know that the youth of the Turkic world are the state mind of tomorrow. These young people will take on responsibilities in state governance in the future,” İzol said.
He added, “When we were your age, we sat where you are sitting now and watched our elders. Today, by God’s will, we are here. Tomorrow, you will be in our place.”
Ayhan Tuğlu, Head of the Department at the Presidential National Library, noted that the library provides services across many fields and expressed his hope that the event would yield positive outcomes.
