As part of the International Commemoration Events marking the 752nd anniversary of Hazrat Mevlana’s Vuslat, a march titled “Time of Peace” was held.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Governor of Konya İbrahim Akın, Mevlana’s 22nd-generation descendant Esin Çelebi Bayru, mayors of central districts, and citizens gathered at the Tomb of Shams of Tabriz.

Following the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, a prayer ceremony was held.

Later, protocol members and citizens walked from Mevlana Street to the Mevlana Museum under the theme “Time of Peace”.

At the Mevlana Museum, in front of the sarcophagus of Hazrat Mevlana, the Qur’an was recited and the traditional Mevlevi prayer, Gülbang, was performed.

Within the scope of the ceremonies held from December 7 to 17 to mark the 752nd anniversary of the passing of the Sufi Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, artist Ahmet Özhan gives Sufi music concerts every evening at the Sema Hall of the Mevlana Cultural Center.

Throughout the ceremonies, the Mevlevi Ayin-i Sharif ceremony is performed every evening.

Panels, exhibitions, talks, workshops, and concerts are being held at Mevlana Square, the Mevlana Cultural Center, and the Taşbina Cultural Center.
