Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new service building of the Turkish-Kyrgyz Businessmen Culture, Solidarity and Friendship Association (TUKID), Okem evaluated the economic relations between the two countries.

Noting that around 360 Turkish companies operate in sectors such as mining, tourism, energy, construction, and transportation in Kyrgyzstan, Okem said Turkish investments have exceeded $1.4 billion.

Emphasizing that TUKID has brought businesspeople together since its establishment in 2020 and has contributed to Kyrgyzstan’s economic and social development, Okem said:

“We are proud of our businesspeople. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the establishment of this office.”

Stating that the association is an important meeting point for business communities of both countries, Okem added that TUKID’s doors are open to all Turkish and Kyrgyz businesspeople who work for the benefit of both nations in accordance with the law.

Okem said:

“We will continue to support TUKID, our companies, and our businesspeople at all times. I would also like to especially thank the Kyrgyz government for its goodwill and supportive approach toward us.”

Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Presidential Investment Agency, Jalin Jeenaliyev, recalled that Türkiye was the first country to recognize Kyrgyzstan’s independence and the first to open its embassy in the country.

Saying that bilateral relations have been developing in all fields with the support of the two presidents, Jeenaliyev stated that they are ready to support Turkish investors.

Emphasizing their openness to cooperation with TUKID, he added that he believes the new office will help strengthen brotherly relations between the peoples of the two countries.

Secretary General of the Kyrgyz Presidential Anti-Corruption Business Council, Nuripa Mukanova, also recalled that TUKID has been a member of the council chaired by President Sadyr Japarov since 2021.
