The Azerbaijani Culture Days, held in Kyrgyzstan's capital, Bishkek, began with the opening ceremony of a traditional handicrafts exhibition.
The Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture organized the exhibition "National Heritage Living in the Gems of Azerbaijani Art", which was inaugurated at the Gapar Aitiev National Museum of Fine Arts.
The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani art masters, literary and cultural figures, art communities, writers, media representatives, officials from the two countries' ministries, ambassadors, diplomatic mission representatives, and many guests.
The exhibition showcases 13 carpets representing various regions of Azerbaijan, old and new photographs of Karabakh, traditional kitchen utensils, garments with conventional ornamental motifs, colorful glass artworks, and traditional patchwork samples.
As part of the event, a fashion show presented the clothing collection of young fashion designer Zumrud Mirzaliyeva, which reflects an artistic dialogue between the past and present.
At the end of the first day of the Azerbaijani Culture Days program, a gala concert featuring Azerbaijani artists was held at the Bishkek Grand Concert Hall.
The concert attracted great interest and featured performances of Kyrgyz classical works accompanied by Azerbaijani national instruments.
The Azerbaijani Culture Days in Bishkek will continue with various events until April 25.
